What to expect

Calderón Hondo, with its 278 meters of altitude, is one of the most accessible and scenic volcanoes on the island. From its summit, you can admire the perfectly preserved crater, the dunes of Corralejo, and even the coast of Lanzarote on clear days.

Along the trail, you'll cross a lunar landscape of lava flows and ancient volcanic chimneys — a geological spectacle unlike any other.

How the experience unfolds

At the agreed time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste or Antigua. Alternatively, you can reach the starting point at the foot of the volcano on your own.

We’ll begin a hiking route of about 10 km, with a total duration of 3 hours. We’ll walk through volcanic landscapes and lava emission points, accompanied by an expert guide who will share geological insights about the area.

Once at the summit, we’ll take a break with a light snack: energy bar, fruit, and mineral water. Then we’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view before starting the descent and concluding the excursion.

Those who chose the transfer will be taken back to their hotel.

If you want to discover the history, culture and nature of Fuerteventura in a single day, this excursion is perfect for you. You’ll visit the picturesque villages of La Oliva and Betancuria, and lose yourself among the enchanting Corralejo sand dunes — a true natural wonder.

What to Expect

You will visit the spectacular Corralejo dunes, the famous Sotavento beach, the Ajuy caves, and the Betancuria Rural Park, the island’s former capital. You’ll pass through traditional villages, scenic viewpoints, and areas rich in history.

How the experience unfolds

We’ll pick you up between 9:00 and 9:30 from your hotel in northern Fuerteventura. The first stop will be the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, where you can take breathtaking photos. We’ll then continue along the coast to Sotavento Beach, with a 45-minute break to relax.

Next, you’ll visit the village of Pájara and then Ajuy, known for its black sand beaches and pirate caves. Here you’ll have an hour and a half of free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll cross the Betancuria Rural Park, admire the Las Peñitas canyon, and stop in the village of the same name for a 30–40 minute visit. The excursion will end with a stop at the Los Reyes Magos viewpoint and a drive through the surroundings of La Oliva, before returning to the hotel around 5:00 PM.

Excursion to the Ajuy Caves at sunset

Do you know the west coast of Fuerteventura? On this excursion to the Ajuy Caves, you’ll admire a magical sunset over the island’s most famous coastal caverns. You’ll also enjoy a delicious tapas dinner with a sea view!

What to expect

You’ll depart from your hotel on the eastern side of the island and, after about 45 minutes of travel, reach the Arco del Jurado. From there, a gentle trek will begin, leading you to the Ajuy Caves. You’ll walk among ancient volcanic formations and spectacular landscapes until you reach a truly evocative sunset. The evening will end with an optional tapas dinner at a seaside restaurant.

How the experience unfolds

At the agreed time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in the eastern tourist areas (Antigua and Caleta de Fuste). We’ll head to the west coast, reaching the Arco del Jurado, where a 4 km trek (easy) will begin.

Along the way, you’ll walk among 150-million-year-old volcanic rocks and recharge with an energy bar, fruit, and water. The trek will end at the Ajuy Caves, where a stunning natural show awaits: sunset over the sea from a breathtaking volcanic landscape.

Afterwards, we’ll take you to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a dinner with tapas and a drink. If you choose the no-dinner option, you’ll have free time before returning to the hotel, expected after about 5–6 hours.

Visiting an aloe vera plantation is a must if you're in Fuerteventura. You’ll explore an estate with organic crops, take part in a workshop dedicated to this powerful plant, and taste the olive oil produced on site.

What to expect

You’ll be welcomed at Verdeaurora Bio Farm, an estate near Antigua specialized in growing aloe vera, olive trees, and other organic products. You’ll walk among fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and farm animals, and discover the principles of permaculture.

You’ll get hands-on experience with aloe vera cultivation and processing, take part in a dedicated workshop, and taste the olive oil produced on site. If you choose the tasting option, you’ll also enjoy local specialties in an authentic setting.

How the Experience Unfolds

At the scheduled time, you’ll arrive at the estate where the guided tour begins. You’ll walk through cultivated fields, olive groves, and organic gardens, and meet donkeys and sheep from the farm.

The tour continues inside the workshops, where you’ll learn about the properties of aloe vera and olive oil. You’ll have the chance to taste organic olive oil and hear about its benefits. If you’ve chosen the extended option, you’ll also enjoy a tasting of traditional Canarian products.
